Singapore Hainanese Chicken Rice is well-liked by both Singaporeans and many foreigners. The rice is steamed together with
garlic, shallot, ginger and chicken to give it a distinct flavoured. It is usually served with chilli and soy sauce.
The chicken is steamed-cook to give a tender, melt-in-your mouth sensation. Singapore hawker centres will cook a whole
chickens to give it a better flavour. Chicken breast, leg and wings are recommended for home cooking.
Directions:
1) Put rice, water and this paste in the rice cooker and mix well.
2) Place chicken on top of rice mixture and set for cooking
3) Leave to stand for 5-10mins before cooking
